The photo on the right shows the leg they will be removing to give her a new lease on life.
“I told my daughter don’t feel the fear around here … feel my love… the love of your mom… and all the people that came to support you!” her dad told me.
Jasmine just turned 14 on Tuesday.
She’s receiving the one gift no child should ever have to face — freedom from a leg that has grown so dangerously out of control it has stolen her childhood.
Doctors have warned it may be an all-day procedure. Her organs and lungs are being pushed.
Her family made a beautiful choice — they donated her leg for research, with the condition that Jasmine can be recognized when doctors someday give her condition a name.
